Clay leant into the open door to say goodnight, his hands on the roof of the car. I yanked him down by his shirt and pulled his face to mine. His eyes opened wide as I kissed him, almost brutally, and his lips parted, pulsing with the sudden inflow of blood. My tongue swirled inside his mouth, savouring his flavour. Even without having had dessert, Clay Livingston was sweet confection to my taste buds. I suspected I would be back for a second serving, and very soon too.
The sides of his mouth were curling up beneath mine, and his eyes shone like pale orbs of carnal need. If only he knew how much I wanted to stay the night, but it was better this way. I wrapped my arms around his waist and ran a hand up his back, to discover the enticing dimples on either side of his spine, just above his buttocks. The man was carved by the hand of a renaissance master from honey coloured marble.
I broke away, my heart beating furiously, and my breathing ragged. “Goodnight, Mister Sunshine ....”
He pulled in a lungful of air, and smiled. “Goodnight, Amelia ... and don’t forget to let me know you are home safely.”
